Excursion:

The Nice Observatory is both an historical monument and a modern research center. It was built in 1881 by a rich  banker,  who called the best architects of the time, Charles Garnier and Gustave Eiffel, for the construction of the main buildings, such as the dome of the 76cm diameter, 18m focal length telescope. It is constructed in the middle of a 5x105 m2 park on the top of a hill, overlooking the city of Nice. On clear days, the scenery is amazing....

The historical village of Eze was built during the Middle Age.  Perfectly restored it now hosts several artist's shops, bars, a tropical garden  (Tucson-like stuff...) and a famous perfume factory. The village is also a magnificent viewpoint over the French Riviera.

Tour busses will pick up the participants at the Croisette Beach hotel at 2PM and bring them back after the meeting banquet. People not participating to the banquet will spend the evening in Eze and will be picked up by a bus after the banquet is over.

Meeting Banquet: At the folkloric Ferme St. Michel Restaurant,  halfway between the Nice Observatory and the village of Eze. Aperitif, choice of vegetables, the famous french charcuterie, grilled beef and lamb, cheeses, desserts, soft drinks, beers and wines, coffee, grappas.... All you can eat (and drink!) , with live music, Unforgettable!
