 Questa mappa è stata compilata da M. Frassati e P. Tanga sulla base delle osservazioni visuali eseguite tra il 1988 e il 1999. Essa è disponibile in 2 formati: - classico (proiezione di Mercatore) - proiezione cilindrica per utilizzo in WinJupos. Istruzioni: scaricare la mappa e archiviatela in una cartella (per esempio dove avete installato WinJupos), poi avviate WinJupos scegliendo il pianeta Marte. In "Tools" scegliere "Effemeride", e andare sulla pagina "Options". Indicare nella "Texture image" il file dell'immagine allegata, e selezionare le opzioni "Simple cylindrical projection", "South at top", "Planetocentric". Nella casella "Longitude at left side of the map" indicare "180.0". Verificate bene le opzioni suddette, perchè sono fondamentali. Potete anche indicare, per un'orientazione più coerente con le immagini, "South at top" nella sezione "Image orientation". Non avrete più da toccare queste opzioni.Andate quindi alla pagina "Graphics" e selezionare l'opzione "Texturing".... Voilà! |
This
map has been drawn by M. Frassati and P. Tanga. It is based on visual
observations in the UAI archive from 1988 to 1999.
The map is available in 2 formats: - Mercator projection (classic) -
cylindric projection for WinJupos. Installation:
download the map and save it in a folder (for example the WinJupos
installation directory), then start WinJupos and answer "Mars" to the
first question. In the "Tools" menu choose "Ephemeris". Go to the
"Options" tab and in "Texture Image" choose the map file. Select
"Simple cylindrical projection", "South at top" and "Planetocentric".
In the case labeled "Longitude at left side of the map" write
"180.0". Verify accurately the options above since they are
critical. You can also require "South at top" in the section "Image
orientation", if you are used to orient the planet that way in your
pictures. You will never need to modify all that again. You can then go
to the "Graphics" page and select the option "Texturing"...
Voilà!
