Short Bio

After obtaining the B.Sc. degree (“Laurea Triennale") in Physics and M.Sc. degree (“Laurea Magistrale”) in Astrophysics, both from the University of Pisa, I conducted my doctoral research at the Max-Planck-Institut für Plasmaphysik (IPP) in Garching bei München and obtained my Ph.D. degree (“Dr. rer. nat.”) in 2015 from the University of Ulm.

Between 2017 and 2021 I have been a post-doc in the Department of Astrophysical Sciences at Princeton University, following a 19-month postdoctoral position in the Department of Physics at the University of Pisa and a 6-month transitional post-doc at IPP in Garching.

Since October 2021, I have been recruited as permanent CNRS researcher at Laboratoire Lagrange, Observatoire de la Côte d’Azur (OCA).

Research Interests

MHD and kinetic plasma turbulence, cosmic-ray transport in the Galaxy, wind-magnetosphere interaction, turbulence in stratified geophysical fluids
