Short-wave instabilities in the Benjamin-Bona-Mahoney-Perigrine equation: theory and numerics

The nonlinear propagation of waves of short wavelenght
 in dispersive systems will be discussed.
A family of equations will be presented
 describing the asymptotic behaviour of a
large class of systems. A particular attention will be devoted
to the analysis of the simplest nonlinear short-wave
dynamics in the BBMP equation.
