Radial evolution of intermittency in the interplanetary magnetic field
We study the radial evolution of intermittency level in magnetic
turbulence of solar wind plasma. The magnetic field jumps are
considered, and their statistical properties suggest the organization of
flux tubes in a "spaghetti-like" configuration. The stricking difference
between fast and slow wind is discussed. Experimental results are then
compared with a numerical simulatoin of parametric decay of Alfven
waves, to point out the relevance of Alfvenic fluctuations in solar wind
turbulence.
