The bench is equipped with repositionable alignment sights (on flip/flop mounts, top images) installed at different locations deemed relevant to allow rigorous mapping of the state of the bench in terms of alignment. This makes it possible to quickly and efficiently identify the location or the element which would introduce or have undergone misalignment. All the OAPs of the NiR channel are also equipped with 3D printing alignment targets (bottom images) used for the AITs and also allow a check of the state of the bench. These controls come in addition to a control procedure (SPEED Watcher) which checks the state of the bench by analyzing the PSFs (NiR and Vis) on the detectors (positioning, morphology, Strehl) as well as by checking pupil images (NiR and Vis).
